There is always a catalyst for that brings someone to want to do credit repair. Most people decide to do credit repair because they want to get into a house, but recently I have a client (and friend) who has kids heading off to college soon and wants to down size.
Her scores are 580 to 600 and her husbands are all around 650. We should get them around 680 in 60-90 days and by adding a credit card to the mix, they should get over 700 in a few months.
When your credit score is in this range, there is always something that can be done to jump it. In this case, we are getting several old items deleted off their reports, as well as renegotiating a few things.
There is all this talk in entrepreneurial circles about the “why”. Why do we get out of bed every day and do what we do to make money?
Sometimes it easy to get bogged down in the paperwork of it all, but when I see the fear and shame and guilt of having bad credit start to melt away for people, that’s my why. Paperwork included.
